Mass Timber Technologies (MTT) is a timber prefabrication company, specialising in the manufacture and supply of large scale, complex building components for use in construction applications. At our facility in Johannesburg, raw lumber is graded, shaped, pressed and robotically cut to the highest quality and accuracy standards.
We offer a wide range of structural mass timber solutions in Cross-laminated Timber (CLT) as well as Glue-laminated Timber (GLT) beams and columns.

In 2021 BOXA Possibilities , Mass Timber Technologies and Sustainabuild projects completed a multi-use space and ablution building for Skateistan. Despite the tough inner-city environment and high-intensity use, the BOXA units are ageing well and continue to provide a high-quality teaching and learning space for young children and teens.
A small but impactful CLT first-floor addition in Johannesburg. The use of engineered timber in this alteration showcases its potential as a low impact, high performance building solution. With rapid assembly and minimal disruption to the client, prefabrication played a key role in reducing construction time and environmental impact.
